We are back from a week full of science, colleagues and amazing talks at the 12th North American Paleontological Convention ([NAPC 2024](https://sites.lsa.umich.edu/napc2024/)) organized by Matt Friedman and colleagues at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor! The IP lab had a great representation with oral presentations by **Sarah Losso** on her comprehensive work on the Ordovician Walcott-Rust Quarry from New York, **Jared Richards** showcasing a new Ordovician luolishaniid lobopodian and its macroecological significance, and invited presentations by **Javier Ortega-Hernández** to talk about fossils nervous systems and what they can tell us about early animal evolution. The MCZ Museum Staff was also represtened in the conference, with Collections Manger **Jessica Cundiff** providing an overview of the history and holdings of the [Invertebrate Paleontology collection](https://mcz.harvard.edu/invertebrate-paleontology). To top it all up we had an opportunity to visit the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History and its impressive exhibits featuring enormous models of extinct organisms, with *Quetzalcoatlus* being a personal favorite! Thanks to our colleagues for putting together such a spectacular international meeting, and we look forwars to NAPC 2028 in Knoxville Tennessee!
