Javier has been awarded the title of **Investigador Nacional Nivel I** (National Researcher Level I), and membership to the **Sistema Nacional de Investigadores** (National System of Researchers), a governmental agency that promotes and evaluates professional research activity in Mexico, including nationals working overseas.
