The Insane Biology of Tardigrades feat. Marc Mapalo

Graduate student Marc A. Mapalo is one of the experts featured in a comprehensive and accessible YouTube video focusing on the unique and fascinating biology of tardigrades, also colloquially known as water bears or moss piglets. Marc's graduate dissertation is aimed at understanding tardigrade origins and early evolution using a combination of their fossil record and modern imaging and anlytical approaches. Some of his published work to date include the youngest fossil tardigrade from Miocene Dominican Republic amber,  a review of tardigrade body plan development, and the description of new tardigrade species.
