It's finally official! We have received confirmation that the proposal "Ecological turnover at the dawn of the Great Ordovician Biodiversification Event - quantifying the Cambro-Ordovician transition through the lens of exceptional preservation" will be fully funded through the NSF CAREER Award. This generous scheme will support our efforts to investigate the paleobiology and ecology of the Tremadocian-Floian Fezouata biota of Morocco, and its implications for understanding the GOBE as a major evolutionary event. As part of an ambitious educational program, we will design innovative museum exhibits with Augmented Reality based on our systematic work, offer research and outreach opportunities to undergraduate students from underrepresented communities in STEM fields, and produce comprehensive educational online resources on the Fezouata biota and life during the Ordovician.
