OEB/EPS 56 undergraduate fieldtrip to Utah
Students and teaching staff alike had a blast during the Spring fieldtrip to Utah as part of the course OEB/EPS 56 The History and Evolution of Life on Earth. Highlights included checking out modern oolites in the Great Salt Lake, exceptionally fossiliferous Cambrian marine deposits in the House Range, the iconic Ordovician Ibex formation exposed in Fossil Mountain, the majestic sedimentary features of Arches National Park and of course the impressive Mesozoic collections at the Natural History Museum of Utah in Salt Lake City! We are incredibly thankful to our local colleagues that provided invaluable assistance, including Clayton Holman (New Dig), Carrie Levitt-Buissan (UMNH), as well as the OEB and EPS administrative staff that played a critical role in making this fantastic fieldtrip take place!
